Braidout Results

I like! I might like it a lot more if my roots were bushy rather then recently tightened. Not sure if I'll do it often, maybe only after I've washed my hair which I don't do often! *hehe*

5th Wash

I couldn't last the full two months without washing! Lawd have mercy on my scalp!! Yesterday while at work brushing my teeth after lunch (yes all the detail is necessary) I happen to look up in the mirror at the left side of my head and notice a patch of dandruff, it was so disgusting and I immediately thought to myself "wash your dang hair girl!" So, I move to action and start braiding my hair in the bathroom, my co worker Ter-Bear as we call her happens to see me braiding and I ask her to help! She revealed to me that she always wanted to touch my hair and that now that she was able to she loved the way it felt. That was awesome! I wonder who else wants to touch my hair but refrain for fear of getting their hand slapped lol. People at work are always hearing me speak about my hair, I never thought any of them ever gave it a second thought. She also said that my locks suited me and that when she looks at the picture on my work badge and me now it's two different people. I have to admit that it really is and I love this new person because now my beauty is all me and not part Hawaiian silky number 4! Any who she helped me to braid and band (we found a huge bag of rubber bands) and then she went to target for me to get me a HUGE bottle of apple cider vinegar so that I could rinse my dry scalp. Then I proceeded to walk around at my job like this. No shame in my game lol but I bet people were thinking what a ''HOT MESS!" Awww I'm going to miss her who's going to help me braid and band in the future =( and bring me peanut butter chocolate cupcakes? (Yesterday was her last day, she transferred ) Well after walking around work for a half hour like this I made my way home and hopped right in the shower to wash my hair...I was gentle, I'm still afraid of messing something up or pulling out a lock. Then I did the ACV rinse which was SUPER funky but I think it did the trick! I was amazed at the length of my hair once I removed the braids I was feeling myself doing the little hair flip and all like "word that's all you girl!'' Yeah I know I have issues, my niece thought so too as I had her take pictures for me lol she's a good little photographer but she charges a high fee! LOL I let my hair air dry as I drove the munch kin home and then braided them going back with perm rollers at the end, we'll see what happens when I take them down in a couple of hours. In other news: I've decided to invest in some new PJ's because I'm always wearing the same one when ever I'm taking pictures for my blog lol!

Results

It was cute for the first 15 minutes that it lasted, then I got in the car with the windows down and it just went flat. This morning I tried to get my hair in a pony tail, I got half of the back up, it didn't look that bad either. Not writing much, its another one of those rainy days at work and I wish I was at home =( even if it meant being subjected to watching HairSpray or Highschool Musical 2 once again with my niece. Well here are pictures....

Boredom Bantu's

Don't skip class, especially in college. I don't like the beach so I decided NOT to attend oceanography on Tuesday and then I show up to class today (even though I didn't want to I was trying to figure out a good enough reason as to why I shouldn't go...my mother was no help.) Good thing to because we were having our final exam! We just took a test last Thursday?? What do you mean final? I was very unprepared but the Lord being as gracious as He is made my professor decide to give the final an hour later then the original class time. At least I listen in class because with my non knowing how to cram behind I would be so scared. I ended the semester of Oceanography with an 86% but my professor is giving an extra credit test so of course I can't just be satisfied with a B and stay my behind home I'm actually going to the extra credit lectures so that I can take the extra credit test. GRRRR Now my hair While watching the recorded episode of Top Chef I got a tad bored and decided to try and style my hair...these are the pictures, we'll see how it turns out in the morning when I head off to work. I would go in depth about what was going through my mind but I have to get back to my BET movie wow it feels good to watch TV!! Oh and wait until you see the TV but that's another post.

5 Months Locked!!

I haven't posted in a while because I recieved a low grade on my first psychology test I had to punish myself. LOL I'll have to admit I didn't really pay attention the first few classes so I brought the low grade upon my self...I don't study, I don't think I really ever studied. I just pay attention in class read the required material probably briefly go over it once or twice while we're still on the topic...maybe bore my family with it and that's about it. So, when people ask me how to get good grades I don't know what to tell them. Eh oh well, guess in someway that's my version of studying. N-E Way

I've almost had my hair in the same style for half a year!! That's crazy to me, looking back I had a new weave or just a new style every 2-3 weeks, and just plain ole cold turkey I jumped into locks. 5 mths as of last week and I'm loving EVERY DAY.

This me fresh out of bed, with out the wierd morning hair finally they're behaving somewhat, minus that one that wasn't blending I would shake my head and it would still be right there all noticable. I ignored it, showed it who was boss, now I can't find it! lol

When I'm too lazy to take off my satin cap/braid sack I actually go out in public with them...

Random aside:

It is pouring down some major rain right about now and I so wish I was at home, this is the best type of weather when you're at home not stuck at work. Hurricane season one of the best times of the year. Yeah I actually like hurricanes =\ wierd I know.

Back to hair....

I had my hair retightened yesterday, a week late I had to cancel due to a test I was having in Oceanography couldn't miss the lecture. This was the longest it's ever taken to retighten and I didn't even get it washed. I felt bad for my consultant, my hair hasn't been washed since my last retightening and it won't be washed until the day before my next! LOL it doesn't stink and it actually stopped snowing. Those natural hair oils must be escaping from the pores of my scalp and doing what they're supposed to do. She says the back of my head is locking yay!! She also said I had some lent, I never seem to find lent in my hair when I'm looking for them. This was also the first time I felt anything during my appointment because she was pulling down my locks I thought she was going to rip out my edge but all my little soldiers made it out safely from the war.
